Home The '64 Cadillac in Video and Photos - January 2009 A Short Drive In The Cadillac January 16, 2009 - It was a quiet Friday on a day where I wish my business was busy. Such is the times. I just learned this morning two close friends were laid off from their jobs. I have never seen such bad economic times as I have seen throughout 2008 and early 2009! Enough about the economy. I went for a drive in my 1964 Cadillac. It was a bright and sunny winter day with temperatures reaching 40 degrees - that is unreal for our part of Colorado in January! I created a video dedicated to the Cadillac. One of these months or years, I look forward to beginning the restoration process. I just need a little spare change to throw at it! ;) All the best, Steve Photo Gallery I drove the Cadillac to Chaffee County Road 323, which has a grand view of Mt. Princeton in the background. The '64 Cadillac was the final year the two headlights on each side where juxtaposed horizontally. The 1964 Cadillac model was the final year it had fins. So sad. Those shades of pink are not rust; That is the primer on the vehicle. Yes, it needs a paint job but it is three or four priorities down on the list. Such a beautiful car. I have only owned Hondas for my practical day-to-day vehicles in my lifetime, but I am so proud that I recently became a Cadillac owner! :) -Steve (January 16, 2009) Home
